Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain.
  • Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken from pan.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits. Add heavy cream. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Return chicken and cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for the smoothest sauce texture.
