Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1.5 cups Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2.75 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 cup Sugar (for rolling)
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Add dry ingredients (flour, cream of tartar, soda, salt). Mix.
  • Roll dough into balls, coat in cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake 8-10 mins. Cool on sheet.

Notes

Do not overbake. Cookies should be soft when removed from the oven to ensure chewiness.
