“My journey started in mistake. One night while meal prepping, I accidentally doubled my spices in my pasta sauce. I thought I had spoiled dinner but had actually stumbled upon something marvelous. That happy accident was my recipe for my first artisan sauce and my beginning in a cottage food venture.
I learned at the Institute of Culinary Education and worked in restaurant kitchens, so food was always my craft. But creating a business in my Brooklyn bedroom was a whole other thing. No sous chefs, no fancy equipment, just me, my range, and the challenge of scaling up recipes made at home in large batches.
That barrier became my mission. I’ve gone on to develop over 150 recipes that not only are delicious but are also profitable and permitted for cottage food businesses. My niche is in helping business individuals come up with signature products that shine. Because food doesn’t just need to taste wonderful, it needs to make you feel comfortable selling it.”
